What is Regenerative Medicine?

Regenerative medicine is an exciting new medical technology that uses the body’s mechanics to promote wellness and healing. Regenerative medicine procedures are done in an outpatient setting, allowing the patient to return home the same day.

At Montana Advanced Pain & Spine, platelet rich plasma & biologic therapy injections are the focus of the regenerative medicine program, and the benefits of these treatments are numerous.

Undifferentiated cells that have the ability to replace dying cells and regenerate damaged tissue. A high concentration of these cells are obtained from the patient’s own bone marrow, or fat tissues (adipose), or from a purified amniotic tissue.  Once obtained, the cells are isolated with a specialized centrifuge and then injected into the painful area on the same day using special imaging to make sure the cells are placed exactly where they are needed.
